What is a Plastic Ball Valve?
A Plastic Ball Valve is a quarter-turn valve that uses a perforated, pivoting ball to control fluid flow. When the hole in the ball aligns with the pipeline, the fluid flows through freely; when the ball is rotated 90 degrees by the handle, the flow is blocked completely.
These valves are made from premium-grade plastic polymers such as Polypropylene (PP), Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (UPVC), or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), depending on the intended application. How Does It Work?
The operation of a plastic ball valve is simple but effective:
When the lever handle is turned so the bore in the ball aligns with the pipeline, water or other fluids can pass through with minimal resistance.
Rotating the handle by 90 degrees turns the solid side of the ball toward the flow, blocking the passage completely.
